Once an abandoned sake distillery, Huashan 1914 was redeveloped in 2007 to become the heart of Taiwan’s creative scene and a platform for the island’s important cultural events. Built in 1914 on a 45,000-square-meter piece of land, it is one of the oldest and the best preserved structures in Taiwan.
An oasis in the middle of bustling Taipei, the park is filled with artists’ studios, galleries, book shops, installation spaces and restaurants, and is a regular venue for live performances.
